Berlin, Germany
Originally from Wiesbaden, Germany, Godmann received a BFA in Documentary Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He uses artistic practice as a tool to better understand himself and his environment. Working across photography, mixed media, and interdisciplinary processes, his practice examines identity, queerness, memory, care, and the complexities of human experience. As a queer artist based in Berlin, he is particularly interested in questions of belonging, self-representation, and the ways personal narratives intersect with broader social and cultural contexts. Alongside his artistic practice, he is training to become an art therapist, deepening his engagement with the relationship between creativity, well-being, and human connection. Through both his creative and therapeutic work, he seeks to create spaces for reflection, expression, and understanding.
